AECI 2 Student Handbook and Code of Conduct
General Information
School Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Campuses: 116 & 136 East 169th Street, Bronx, NY 10452
Attendance Policy: Students are expected to attend daily and on time; absences require documentation.
Dress Code: Students must adhere to the uniform guidelines outlined by AECI 2.
Cell Phones: Must remain secured during school hours per policy.
Emergency Procedures: Regular drills are conducted for safety compliance.
Student Rights & Responsibilities
Rights:
- Equal participation regardless of background.
- Right to fair disciplinary procedures.
- Access to school rules and explanations.
Responsibilities:
- Respect others and property.
- Attend school daily, prepared to learn.
- Follow all policies and dress code.
- Accept accountability for actions.
- Represent AECI 2 positively at events.
Disciplinary Policy & Procedures
Philosophy: Discipline is meant to teach self-control and responsibility, not punish.
Progressive Discipline: Penalties increase with repeated offenses.
Types of Consequences:
- Oral/written warnings
- Detention
- Suspension (short-term, long-term)
- Expulsion (Board approval)
Due Process:
- Students can present their side.
- Parents notified in writing.
- Appeals can be made to the School Board.
